Boiled wool is a woven or knitted fabric that has been shrunk and thickened by heating/boiling water. This process is also called felting. After the wool has been boiled, it is dried by heat and steam. Due to the cooking process, the fibers of the wool become more dens so that the fabric will block cold wind and maintain body warmth.
Each shawl is made by hand and each one will therefore be different in terms of colors, motifs and embroidery. Each shawl is a unique piece of art!
